Hi everyone! Thanks for visiting the Pepperberry Photography blog!!
Given this is our very first post, we thought it was only fitting to introduce ourselves and share a little about how Pepperberry came to be. As you may have read over on the website, Pepperberry Photography is a Melbourne-based fine art wedding photography partnership co-founded by Sally Plottel and Felicity Bale (that’s us!)
We first met at the beginning of 2009 at RMIT University in Melbourne, where we were studying photography. After a challenging, but incredibly fun and rewarding two years, we both graduated along with the rest of our classmates with our Diplomas of Photoimaging. During our time at RMIT, we were fortunate enough to gain some wonderful and long-lasting friendships, including our own!
In the years since, we have both taken on a variety of freelance and assisting jobs, and have often paired up to shoot weddings together. We both love the thrill that comes with capturing the joyous moments and beautiful details of a wedding day, and especially enjoy shooting them together! A couple of years ago, whilst sitting under a tree in the Carlton Gardens on a sunny afternoon, we had an “ah hah” moment and thought – “why don’t we make this official?!”
So here we are, two years from that fateful afternoon and we finally have Pepperberry up and running! Yay! It has taken a little time and lots of planning to get to this stage (although that didn’t stop us from shooting weddings together in the meantime), but we’re super excited that we can now launch Pepperberry Photography in an official capacity!
You can read a little more about each of us in the ‘About’ section of the website, and you can also check out some of our past work in the image gallery. In addition to the website, we’ll be posting regularly on our blog, so watch this space to keep updated on the latest Pepperberry news and to read our thoughts and recommendations on all things wedding related!
We’re now taking bookings for weddings as well as engagements/lovebird shoots. There are still some dates available this wedding season, so if you or someone you know is looking for a photographer, please get in touch!
